Checking it out, a new start

Azalea walked into the tent and saw a few men sitting at a table talking amongst themselves. She didn't want to interrupt but figured it was their job to see to peoples questions about recruitment. She walked up to the table and made sure that Chrys was with her as she started to ask what kind of place this was.

"Excuse me, what are you recruiting for?"

If they didn't find work soon they would have to search the city for something, and not knowing where anything was in the city wouldn't help that along. Aza was sick and tired of being poor, and now that they were free of her father's bad habits, the money the earned could now actually be saved for important things. She hoped that this 'Recruitment' was something that she could do, and paid well.

Chrysantha examined every inch of the inner ten, her chin up, straight posture, straight face, and her hands together behind her back, looking like she usually would while standing. She awaited patiently for the recruiter's response to the question. There was no need to speak for the moment being, for Azalea had already asked what was on both their minds.

Sitting at a long table is 2 clerks who had been having a discussion before you entered, something about a busty blonde at the Horny Toad… it must be a Tavern in the city. “Ahem… Welcome to your Recruitment. The King and Queen are recruiting fighters and such since the armies can't handle this war with Scali and Tonan alone. Since you appear to be new in town, I'll sum up the list of Classes you can choose from:

Knights are an up close fighter type,
Mercenaries are similar but they're in it for the money,
Paladins are fighters for the God of Battle, they use more Magic than the above two, not that they can't use Magic if they wanted t,.
Archers are ranged fighters using Bows and Arrows or Crossbows,
Beast Masters are animal tamers and trainers,
Mages are battle Magic users,
Healers are Magic users that specialize in healing,
Priests are devoted to the Goddess of Peace, and are... assist type of fighter, helping others with Buffs and the like,
Druids are people with a close personal relationship with their Animal Deity, they shapeshift and get powers that way.

So, now some information. What Class are you? Once we know that we can give you more information about your training”

She had heard about the war going on, but being so far from civilization made it seem like it wasn't her problem to deal with and wouldn't affect them. But now that she and her sister were out in the world and alone, it made sense to pay more attention and this seemed like a good way to make money at the same time.

Listening to the different types of Classes, the Mercenary Class caught her attention. She was strong enough to fight, but the money part held her. If she made enough money, and kept making money, she could pay back her father the money he'd received for her hand in marriage... the money that he would have to return. She didn't want to send too much more than that to her father because he would gamble it away... but if she could send it to her mother in secret, she could buy the things they needed and never had the money for. they could fix up the leaky roof and the kitchen that needed repair...

"I think a Mercenary for myself. Chrys, what do you think?"

Chrysantha nodded in understanding at the guards. Seemed to be that they would meet many interesting people while on the job. Battle magic users and shapeshifters? That was surely unheard of in her home village as far as she knew.

She turned to Azalea and replied to her question "I shall fight with the God of Battle at my side." she stated firmly without hesitation. She crossed her arms and parted her feet slightly"Whats next for us, gentlemen?" Chrysantha inquired, wondering if they would take her sibling away from her for training.

Seeing how they seemed to be traveling together, he tried to think how to combine the two different fighters' training together, it wasn't hard, for most of it was in the same places.

"Both of you will need to head to the Training Yard first for weapon's training... there will be some slight differences in what weapons or how much you get in one type vs another... but for the most part they will let you train together, it'll lesson their training time.

Next for both of you is the Classroom, it's where you will learn Magic, which is optional for the Mercenary. I would take it though, can’t hurt to have as much training as possible, and it’s a free point in training. And yes, a weapons fighter can use magic, so think about it. There are other things you will need to learn in the Classroom also, so tell your trainer if you accept the additional Magic training when you meet them. If the Mercenary does take on the Magic training, the Paladin will be finished first and may want to move on without her for a short time... the next place will take longer for the Paladin than the Merc... and you can't train together so you may end up finishing training at the same time.

After the Classroom, I'm afraid you must separate into different temples... the Paladin will go to the Paladin Temple and the Mercenary will go to the Druid Temple... that is if you have an Animal God as your patron... this too is optional, but recommended for a free Buff that will help in your fighting. This is the place that will take more time for the Paladin than the Mercenary.

It really will be over quicker than it sounds. When you are done head to the Quest Office in the Royal Court when you are ready to start your journey. You are now free to go, the Training Yard is that way and the Classroom and Temples are inside it,” he dismissed them with a nod toward the door pointing to the left slightly.

Azalea listened to his explanation of the training regiment. It seemed pretty full... but it was exciting hearing all the different things they could learn... or at least the different places that they would learn different things in. She hadn't thought too much on Magic before, but it was interesting that she could learn it. The Animal Deity had also been a surprise to her, but she had always been fond of a particular animal, almost drawn to it if you will. She would sit up and listen to the Wolf calls from her bedroom window, wondering what they were doing. Now seemed like as good a time as any to incorporate that desire into her being by getting to know the Wolf God a little better.

"Thank you for your assistance." With that she starts walking out the door, talking to Chrysantha as she walked out of the tent. "At least we get to train mostly together. If one of us finishes first we'll have to pick a meeting spot..." She was looking forward to the training, already imagining the amount of money she could be making doing something other than farm labor.

Chrysantha makes her way out the door with her sister with a slight smile on her face, a rare occurrence. Finally, she felt as though she could make a difference in the zqworld through these teachings. "Many thanks." she simply said to the guards, then turn to her sister, "If all goes well, we should go out and celebrate." she replied, feeling optimistic about their new jobs.
